About Dr. Laskin
Alexander V. Laskin, Ph.D., is a professor at Quinnipiac University (USA). He is the author of about 100 publications, including books, book chapters, and scholarly articles, focused primarily on investor relations, international public relations, reputation management, and measurement and evaluation.
His most recent book, Investor Relations and Financial Communication: Creating Value Through Trust and Understanding, is a comprehensive, up-to-date introduction to the investor relations and financial communication profession.
His book Social, Mobile, and Emerging Media Around the World: Communication Case Studies describes some of the most up-to-date applications of new media technologies in corporate, non-profit, and governmental sectors.
During his academic career, Laskin served as a Chair of the Financial Communications section of the Public Relations Society of America, a Fulbright Specialist, Page Legacy Scholar, Plank Fellow, and Albert Schweitzer Fellow. His research was recognized with the Institute for Public Relations’ Ketchum Excellence in Public Relations Research Award, the International Journal of Business Communication Outstanding Article of the Year Award, and Quinnipiac University’s Faculty Scholarship Award.
Prior to the academe, Laskin worked in investor relations, public relations, marketing, and measurement & evaluation. Laskin received his PhD from the University of Florida, USA. He also has a master’s degree in International Business; a master’s degree in Public Relations; and an undergraduate degree with a double major in English and Economic, Social, and Political Geography.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Laskin offers consulting services in investor relations, reputation management, international communications, and measurement & evaluation.
