Alexander V. Laskin, Ph.D., is a professor at Quinnipiac University (USA), director of graduate studies, and a corporate consultant. He is an author of over 50 publications, including books, book chapters, and scholarly articles, focused primarily on investor relations, international communications, and measurement and evaluation.

His most recent book, Handbook of Financial Communication and Investor Relations, offers state-of-the-art thinking and practice in investor relations and financial communication. His book Social, Mobile, and Emerging Media Around the World: Communication Case Studies describes some of the most up-to-date applications of new media technologies in corporate, non-profit, and governmental sectors.

Laskin is a 2018 Chair-Elect of the Financial Communication section of the Public Relations Society of America. He is also a Fulbright Specialist, Page Legacy Scholar, and Plank Fellow. His research was recognized with Outstanding Article of the Year in the International Journal of Business Communication, Institute for Public Relations’ Ketchum Excellence in Public Relations Research Award, and Quinnipiac University Faculty Scholarship Award. Laskin previously worked in investor relations, international mergers and acquisitions, and market research. Laskin received his PhD from the University of Florida, USA. He also has a master’s degree in international business; a master’s degree in communication; and an undergraduate degree with a double major in geography and English. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Laskin offers consulting services in investor relations, research and evaluation, and international communications.
